2022 Santy Cup Recap
Year 1 Team Higgins won, year 2 Team Fante won, and Santy Cup 2022 was for all the marbles at Hermitage in Nashville, TN. Team Fante started off the 2022 Santy Cup matches with a 3.5-1.5 lead after day one and never looked back. Team Higgins was able to win one session, unlike in 2021, but it was not enough to overcome the great play by Team Fante. Team Fante was led by Jason Long, Captain Leo Fante, and Max Kadish, as those three players did not lose a single point all week. Captain Fante put together great pairings. The final tally ended Team Fante, 16 and Team Higgins, 9. Giving Team Fante the series win, 2-1. Congrats to Team Fante members Chris Amato, Will Carroll, Leo Fante, Ben Galluzzo, Max Kadish, Jason Long, Kyle Mahoney, Ron Smith, Nick Stock, and Ben Rader.

The 2022 Santy Cup individual tournament was never really in doubt, as Ron Smith hooked his way to the wire to wire victory. Ron shot a net -3 on day one and that is where he finished to win the tournament, at -3 and take home the Bendelow Green Jacket. Ron broke the Santy Cup scoring record by eight shots! Ron had nineteen gross/net birdies in three rounds. Great playing Ron! Impressive victory for Ron in his first ever Santy Cup appearance.
